END OF TIME

Movies that are produced recently are more inclined to the more current struggles and triumphs that our present age faces. I say triumphs because we are witnesses of how technology have developed in our present time. The movies we watch are somehow a reflection of the visions that our world wants to have in the coming days.

It is a struggle because if you can see, these new technology that we see in movies are almost always associated to the foreseen difficulties that we might have in the near future. It is more of the end of the world scenes of which a lot of us watching usually enjoys watching. It cannot really be denied that we love to watch technological displays in wide screen. We are no longer satisfied by just watching simple dialogues and life dramas in movies unlike probably in the past 20 or 30 year productions where actors are the highlights of the scene.

The movies we watch now are more of devastation and chaos which appears to be very real if we are just going to carefully look at the trend and how time is running in our midst. It is very much real when you look at how computers are affecting our lives today and you happen to watch the matrix.. You will not be surprised by robots in Transformers because they are already seen in the net, used in production of cars in Japan and in the US. What we are just waiting to see would be how these robots begin to move and have lives of their own and act on their in the coming time. Of course we cannot believe this to happen since as many of us know that human life is a composition body and soul,

The 2012 movie which talks about the end of the world is not surprising. We have already seen similar movies such as this from the same producer which shows us the effect of climate change. This movie about climate change is no other than The day after tomorrow. It is very real and it is slowly creeping into our consciousness that these things are really going to happen. We are just being relieved by the thought that it is not going to happen to us now but in the near future. Only Batman knows when that near future will be, but for as long as I don't feel the danger of the end of the world now, I will continue to enjoy watching these movies.

These movies are products of the producers creative minds. I say that this is not really created out of originality but by mere correlating the events of present time, history and what science is telling. Science knows that there are really large meteors hovering around the planet which is endangering us of a deep impact, which movie of the same title we have loved to watch a few years back of. See what I mean?

These movies are probably a help in conditioning our minds of what is about to come in the future. It is likened to the story of the first man to step to the moon when in the beginning it was all a dream for anyone. But stepping on the moon came about. A metal object that could fly was an impossible thing, but look at the 747s that fly across the world. Isnt it amazing then it will come to us as no surprise when all these things we watch on movies will come to pass someday?

The story of the 2012 movie is not far from happening really if we look at history of the Sumerian tribe. They were the ones who journaled how this great Planet X with Anunaki aliens have come to our planet. This planet X is so huge that it caused the planet Earth to tilt. Tilting the Earth as it is tilted now could have really caused great devastation during those years. Science have discovered that this Planet X, some calls it Nibiru, circles our galaxy and passes through Earth axis every 3,000 -4,000 years. In case you don't know, the last time Nibiru passed through earth was 5,000 – 6,000 years ago.

Taking from the Bible the story of the Noah's Ark and the great flood, this may have coincided with the passing of the Planet X which tilted the Earth and caused the great flood. It is all up to us to really relate this story to our present lives, but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord and will be ready.

GRUESOME MURDER

Just about few days ago we heard on the news, we've seen on TV that Ruby Rose, the sister of former beauty queen Rochelle Barrameda, was murdered. It has been 2 years before they found her stuck in cemented drum and thrown on to the murky sea of Navotas. Navotas is known for fishing business here in the Philippines, and just look at the bay in Manila, this place is one of the dirtiest. She was murdered obviously with extreme anguish from the murderer, whoever did it.

For about several years ago also, it was a sensation in media about the murder of publicist Bubby Dacer. He was the PR man of disgraced Philippine President Joseph Estrada. He was abducted, brought to a faraway town and was murdered. The murderer was so careful enough not to leave any traces that they burned the body to the last bone.

All these murders would not have been known if the accomplices did not come out in the open and testify to the crime. In the case of Barrameda, the witness who came out was part of the murder himself he said and it was he who pointed out where the body was dumped. In the Dacer case, the police officer who was exiled to the US will be the one to testify who the mastermind was. We will all soon know how these things transpired, and we will leave to the government how justice will be served for the victims. I am certain that there is still justice in the Philippines no matter how slim the chances are.

The intensity of the murder done to the victims nowadays are so violent and barbaric that you can associate it in the dark ages. In the dark ages, people were not valued as human when they kill them, same with these murders that we have right now. I have no question about the Philippines to be remaining in the seemingly dark age situation, murders, poverty due to corruption and typically dim future for many of us, because we have been used to it for the longest time. Darkness began when Ferdinand Marcos reigned in the Philippines and light has never shown on us since then - well perhaps there was a bit - sort of a light at the end of the tunnel, a quote that usually gives hope to the hopeless.

What are we a looking forward in the scenes we are witnessing now? Are we seeing the rise of a murderous society which no government can control? Or this is just the result of a society molded upon distrust and manipulation by those in authority that hiding crime is already a practice accepted as social norm. It is likened to the saying that "the wrongful act of an adult becomes right in the eyes of a child". the people will be callous to acts of crime which you hear everyday that those in the government are not sanctioned from the crimes they commit. Look unto your government officials as your leaders and mentors and you as the child, do you expect to learn good things from many of them? There have been scandals that have been divulged which the public deserves an explanation but because the culprits are holding high positions in the government, thwarting the investigation, covering up the crime silencing the witness.

Crime hiding acts are seen everyday, read on news papers, heard over the radio and watched on TV.
You can no longer distinguish a gruesome murder from high level corruption because after all these are crimes that needs to be punished. The only difference between murder and corruption is that the hurt it brings to the victim is physical but in no way different when how the rights and privileges of the person was deprived. Corruption is like killing the person softly with the his own sweat and blood, and I am referring to many persons sweat and blood involved. After all there is no major sin and minor sin, these are all sins and they all have equal dark values.

We hear the cry of the bereaved families of Ruby Rose and Bubby Dacer. We sympathize with them and they all deserve justice for their loved ones. I am hoping for the day when the murderers are brought to jail and be locked up for life. It would really be best if they are hanged!

I am equally grieving for the murder done everyday by our corrupt officials, who by their doings, have inspired criminals to commit crime so easily without remorse. I am thinking of the school children who goes to public schools without books and classrooms. I am thinking of the teachers who burn eyebrows to create lesson plans and teach during day and have to sell other some merchandise on the side to make both ends meet because of their meager salaries. I am thinking of the children without parents because they are abroad trying to earn some dollars to help pump prime the ailing Philippine economy of course by their remittances because there is no job here.

There are no classrooms and books in the public school, no salary for the teachers and no job for the Filipinos because many of our government officials are busy with personal agenda enriching themselves by virtue of the authority bestowed on them. Instead of looking for opportunities that would create jobs for the people, they busy themselves with charter change which is not urgent. They have been busy investigating scandals and slinging mud against each other instead of taking care of the needs of the nation. Public schools have no books because the books they purchased cant be used and are just stocked in the warehouse to rot, because they were purchased to earn a commission and intention for school use is secondary.

OBAMA STARTS ANEW IN MID EAST

Seeking peace for the whole wide world is as illusive as the song my illusive dream by Tom Jones. It is near to impossible to happen. Looking for a common ground among different races and beliefs is like looking for a needle in a hay stack, which in the end after all the efforts you realize that it is not the needle that you were suppose to be looking for. Vague objective, impossible task and incredible vision - world peace.

Barack Obama recent spoke about his desire to extend a reconciliatory hand to the Muslim people. It is a common belief that the source of terrorism in the World Trade Center attack was deeply rooted in the people belonging to the Muslim community, hence, as what Obama did, reconciling with them would probably lessen the threat of terrorism, so thereby bringing peace in the world. .

We are talking about world peace definitely when we are able to muzzle the heart of terrorism brought about by the "Muslim" extremists. We see that aside from drugs and greed for money, the other worse terrorist group are those founded by religion. The only religion we know which people are capable of declaring war against all nation would be those from Muslim extremist - and they call themselves Jihad warriors.

Jihad is there term for religious war. A fight for freedom to defend their faith, as far as I know. Their cause is legitimate and I totally agree with the fighting for freedom, specially when my faith is at stake. In the Christian community, specially the Roman Catholics, those who died for their faith were declared Saints. In the Christian community in the real sense of the word, those who believe in Jesus Christ are called Saints. In the Muslim community, those who fought for Jihad were called saints.

The danger however for the Muslim extremist specially the Jihadist is that many of them don't really know the really meaning of all of these. It is understood, as I have understood it also, that they consider to be an enemy of their religion those who do not believe in Allah. I remember also that this Jihad started during the time of their prophet Mohammed where he was still expanding Islam. But in many instances, Jihad has been abused by many, some uses the word instead, to legitimize terrorism which is not healthy for their religion.

From the backgrounder, Obama needs to dig deeper in the roots of all these misunderstandings. The educated Muslims may have understood what this is all about, they must have known what they wanted and perhaps know where they stand by now as a religion. Through them, maybe, Obama will be able to find a common ground to start discussing reconciliation and peace, but to those who are deeply blinded by the ambiguity of what they believe to be "Jihad", Obama may need to find another script.

It is hard to find a solution to terrorism founded by religion because probably the objective is as vague as all religions are. It is likened to silencing a child in tantrums who doesn't know what he really wants. If you follow your precepts based upon religious teachings, then you are in deep trouble because it will never lead you to any conclusion. If you read your religious books, I read the Holy Bible, it has no conclusion. It is an open ended book. Some things are yet to come if you base it on religious books, and to me, I cant base my daily tasks to something that is yet to come. I can probably set my objectives and hopes on it and be guided by it, but never to be my negotiating stand .

Now, Obama has to decipher carefully what they are hoping for to gain common grounds with these people. Are they hoping that all the people in the world will be Muslims? It would have been better if this was really the objective at all for at least we know, but I doubt it, had it been it was the objective, then there would have been total peace within the Muslim countries; and yet there is none. Ask them point blank...what is it that you really want? the answer might just be " errr...uhm...wait."

Where have all the Generals gone?

There are troubles all over the archipelago. You can hear gun shots here and there and everywhere. The news about crime activities are rampant. Crimes are left unabated. Rebellion, they continue to flourish and grow in strength and numbers. Now, we ask, where have all the generals gone?

In the army, the generals are the ones in control of the command. They know all the activities that their armies are doing in the command. They know how the enemies are doing through their intelligence network so that and he positions his army strategically to prevent enemies from lording over them. I have not been in the army, but from what I understand, these are the military basics.

This is also true in the police work. the police is there to maintain peace and order in the city. A little different scene from the military work because the police talks about inside forces and scalawags that causes trouble in the land. The military talks more about outside enemies of the country. Generals whether in the military or in the police have the same scope of work and command responsibilities.

Positioning military personnel around you is relative to preparing for war. You will never go wrong if you have military men surrounding you and protecting you, so much more if these men are former generals in the military. Your house will really be formidable.

In the Philippines, the Arroyo government must have this feeling of inadequacy against outside intrusion because they have positioned plenty of former military generals in the government service. You can just imagine about 60% of the government posts appointed by the president are assigned to former military generals.

We know for sure that military men are best in obeying orders without questions asked. They are like horses with bits that they would follow wherever their master wishes to go. And they will do it with total loyalty that they are committed to it even to death. This is the beauty of having military men around you, it is likened to having a genie who would grant all your 3 wishes to come true.

What makes me wonder though is that why would they position these generals if there are no external threats? What I notice is that the administration is always at threat politically. Political enemies of the president are almost always at the doorstep of MalacaƱan waiting to seize the opportunity to topple the administration.

It may be a wise move for the Philippine President to position these generals to really have a formidable governent, specially in this very unstable time. If the philippine president thinks that she needs these generals to stabilize the governemtn and maintain peace and order within her ranks, then these generals are of good use. But if she intends to position these generals so that she can be invincible in the government in times of crisis, then let the people think twice. they are even positioning another former general to run as presidnet for the next election. We might be headed to a militarize government.

I remember when it was during President Estrada's term when the people revolted against him because of the corruption he committed he was ousted. He was ousted because even the military bolted out from him. In the time of president marcos, the full support of the military was divided which somehow caused his dilema to either declare war and cause bloodshed or just let it go. He let go off it in the end, which finally came about what is known today as the EDSA Revolution (People Power).

If you notice that these political stalwarts had the military behind every issue which brought them either success or downfall. The Arroyo administratin may be contemplating to edify the governement with military men to further secure loyalty from the military ranks and thereby avoid a similar incident as that of strada's where the military isolated him in his troubled time.

Whatever they are opt to is something that the people needs to be vigilant about.

Election 2010 abuse

Election 2010 is hovering in the air of the Philippines. You are now seeing several personalities coming out of print, TV and radio media telling you whatever they feel is relevant to the situation right now. some of them come in a form of informational campaign for a cause, some would appear to give reports of their office's accomplishments, some would just appear there to gain publicity.

There is one Senator who uses the detergent powder ads to say her piece about saving water. There is another Senator who rides on a pedaled tricycle to to promote his advocacy of alleviating the poors' plight. One mayor is reporting how his City was doing during his term, which even if without him the city will still prosper because it is where the heart of Philippine business is. One senator also had the opportunity to show off his capability of risking himself in negotiating for the release of kidnapped victims which in the end never did anything at all. There is one senator who claims to have brought home several ofw in distress from abroad.

We are still seeing the same bunch of crap rhetorics from all these politicians. The Filipinos don't need that one anymore. We have had enough of that for decades. What we need is immediate action, a concrete plan of action and a doable goal.

These politicians are a banking on the poor because it is them who takes up majority of the population. They are banking on them but they are not helping them at all. Many elections have passed and all these same tactics have been performed of which the same gullible people believed in, and the same people whose lives have not improved.

Looking back into history, our nation has always been a victim of abuse. The abuse that we cant tolerate is the abuse done by our fellow Filipino. The manipulative indoctrination these politicians do to our small people on media just to secure their votes on election 2010 without giving value to the trust bestowed on them, is an abuse to the highest degree. They stand in their campaign as pro poor but eventually turns to be pro money when they get elected, that is abuse. They declare that they will work for the poor when they get elected when in fact they “poor” the poor even more by their corruption after election 2010, that is abuse.

There was one candidate in the past who advocated that there will be no demolition of illegal shanties when he is elected. Illegal shanties are small informal houses erected illegally on lands they don't own. This is commonly known as squatting. The approach he had was an obvious manipulation of the poor. Making the poor believe that it is alright to go on practicing what is socially inappropriate. He has even aggravated the poor's condition because they have never tried to improve themselves thinking that there is still a chance for them to a find a defender no matter how illegal their act are. Some have even made a career out of illegal squatting whereby they invoke a litany of human rights violation should they be extracted out from their illegally dwelling.

Other political abuse is common in advocating for the workers right. These politicians would always appear to be heroes for these helpless workers whenever there are rallies and mass actions against unjust corporate practices. This political abuse would appear to advance workers rights and privileges but they are on the contrary in reality. They rally behind these workers and pretends to be on their side and yet vanishes instantly a soon as they are proclaimed to the post they aspire for. Political abuse happens every time whenever there is an opportunity to capture attention of the masses and show off. When there are calls for fare increase, salary increase, and many other calls for human lives improvement, politicians come, politicians will see but they will never conquer.

When shall we see a politician who will really stand for the cause of the people in election 2010? We call for a leader who will have the courage to sacrifice a little of themselves, a little of their wealth aspirations, a little of their wealthy friends approval, a little of the common masses approval, for the common good. Is there any trustworthy individual who will not abuse our people any longer with traditional political abuse , but rather look forward to seeing the Philippines progress commencing after election 2010?
