Mayweather Pacquiao no more

Everybody is eager to see the fight of the year between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley.  Although this is not as exciting as what you would have between Mayweather and Pacquiao which would have been the fight of the century had Mayweather found the guts to stand up against Manny.

It was heard all over the news that Mayweather would agree to fight Manny if the prize money is $100 million dollars for him alone.  He knew very well that this condition was not possible to make and besides that, it should not be him who made the demand because he was no longer the apple of the eye among boxing enthusiasts.  The only loyal followers that he has are those people who still hope to see a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.

There were plenty of demands that the camp of Mayweather have been asking in the past which were practically impossible to comply or they knew that Manny would not comply.  It is a simple demonstration of cowardice and the demands he made are blatant excuse to fight.  Floyd must have known that there is a strong possibility that he will not survive the third round when he fights Manny.

You will remember that during the Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley fight, he was almost knocked out during the second round when Mosley stunned him with 2 right hand shots.  He was lucky enough that it was not the left hook of many because had it been that those two right hand punches were the 2 left hooks of Manny, he would not have gotten any chance to recover like what he did during the Floyd_Shane bout where Floyd won.

The inconsistencies of Floyd were pretty obvious.  He would not fight Manny the first time he was challenged because he accused many of using steroids.  He fought Mosley instead when in fact Mosley was even more using steroids as he was even accused of using it during Mosley-De La Hoya fight.    There were court proceedings in 2003 indicting Mosley of using steroids and this should have sent Floyd a fair warning not to fight if using steroids was indeed a hindrance.

It is a sorry state that everybody will just be watching on May 7, 2011 a sort of a remake fight between Floyd and Shane.  It is pretty obvious that Floyd will never fight Pacquiao at all.   You will still be assured anyway that this fight on May 7 will be an entertaining one.
